So it turns out DH didn't care for the title "Renovation Fairy." We've since settled on Thor, the Renovation God.
Colors, colors, so many choices.
A trip to my favorite hardware store, Toom (friendly and helpful staff), gave me a shock. First I found myself drawn to the highly saturated colors, but wise advice from Thor reminded me that I was relatively neutral walls so I can show off my quilts. Even my accent wall won't be as strong as I first imagined it.
There are already several strong colors in my house, the Windfang (foyer) and living room are good examples. One is a dark taupe, and the other has a very strong red accent wall.
What I think I will do is choose pairs of relatively light colors and still do an accent wall, but buy a liter of a strong coordinating color to add color accents later, like in a small shelf or whatnot.
Here are the colors I'm choosing from. The bedroom/cutting room will be either bluish or pinkish, and the sewing room will be the other.
Late breaking update: I'm planning the blue for the bedroom, and will use the Atlantik series. I'll paint a focus wall behind the bed relatively dark, bule the rest the lightest Atlantik blue. But that can't happen until the sewing room is ready.
My sewing room will get the base color Milky White (not pictured, but really does look like milk). Then I will use a taupe for an accent wall, and a chocolate for detailed accents. Those are Gobi 5F and Palermo 5F in the pictures below. Only problem is I can't decide which wall to paint as the accent until I have the furniture in place, so Thor will paint it milky white, then I'll buy the furniture and will decide which wall. I want to show off my fancy machine, so I'll probably only paint part of the wall behind the machine.

I like the dark blues and the light lavendar colors. It's all going to look gorgeous when done!
