Another 100,000 stitches done! I love this pattern, especially because it's so big and the detail really shows through.

Alabama immigration law catches Daimler manager

Technically, I've got Alabama roots. Either my great-grandparents or their parents came to Indiana from Alabama. Regardless, here's a bit of shame for Alabama - they have passed an anti-immigration law that requires that EVERYONE who wants a service from the state government, or who is stopped by the police, produce proof that they are in the country legally.

Because, according to DH's cousin, there is an amazing new American/German bakery, the Columbia Bakery Cafe. Only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The funny thing is, it's REALLY an American/German bakery, not German/American. It's a bakery that started in America, and has been brought TO Germany. Most of the time, it's the fancy German baked goods that are brought to the US.
If I were there right now, I'd order either Blueberry Pie, or German Chocolate Cupcake.
But I'm not, and it's dinner time, so I better go eat my turkey sandwich.
