Last vacation of the summer: Teenager in Spain

Taylor had the last vacation of the summer, when she and a friend took a RUF Reisen youth trip to Spain. It was rather disappointing, being not nearly as much fun as she'd hoped. Plus they switched hotels on them and the trip there was a fairly long bus trip.

It was also expensive. Not the trip itself, which was around Eur 370, but on the way to the meeting point, she lost her cell phone, a rather new one.

Once on the beach, their bag got caught in a wave, and thoroughly soaked her friend's cell phone PLUS our nearly new digital camera. Ouch.

Detlev took the camera apart, put the most resilient parts in the dishwasher, and ran it without soap. After reassembly, everything seemed to work except the zoom lens. That means no more pictures from that baby, but he did manage to save the few shots Taylor took before the camera got wet.

Here, therefore, are a couple of pictures of Spain from her perspective.

Mushrooms

I can't remember when these photos were made, but it's always fun to see which mushrooms we can find on our walks.

Source of the Danube

The Donau flows from the Black Forest all the way to the Black Sea, and is the EU's longest river, second longest in Europe.
Here's the start. :)

Black Forest

Some nice walking around the Titisee.

Maastricht, The Netherlands

DH had some fun too, while we were in the US. He traveled to The Netherlands to get his bike fixed, and had the chance to do some walks in The Black Forest near us as well.
Here are some pics from Nederland.
